SATA throughput and two-drive limit

Storage connects through a SATA interface on the integrated Smart Array P204i-b SR Gen10 controller, which caps sequential throughput to the SATA 6 Gb/s line rate. Installation consists of sliding the blade into a compatible c-Class enclosure bay and securing the latch; no cable routing inside the blade is required. The most common issue is a firmware mismatch between the blade iLO Advanced, the Smart Array controller and the enclosure OA, which can prevent the server from posting. All units ship with BIOS, iLO and controller firmware updated to the latest stable versions to reduce that risk. Remote management via iLO Advanced allows headless configuration once the blade is powered.
