The HUANANZHI X99 F8D PLUS motherboard targets workstation builders who need dual Intel Xeon processor support on the LGA 2011-3 socket. Eight DDR4 slots enable four-channel memory at 1866 2133 or 2400 MHz with a maximum capacity of 64 GB per module. The C612 chipset family is shipped at random depending on stock availability.

Dense Storage and I/O Layout

Ten SATA 3.0 ports combine six standard connectors with four additional SSATA connections for high drive counts. Dual M.2 slots provide one 22110 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 interface at 32 Gb/s and one 2280 slot that shares an SSATA lane with SATA. Rear I/O supplies four USB 2.0 four USB 3.0 two Gigabit Ethernet ports and six 3.5 mm audio jacks for 7.1 surround sound. Internal headers add one 9-pin USB 2.0 one 19-pin USB 3.0 and front-panel audio.

Expansion Focused on Compute Density

Three full-length PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots allow multiple GPU or accelerator cards for rendering or compute workloads. The M.2 implementation requires attention because the 2280 slot consumes an SSATA signal when populated. No wireless or Bluetooth hardware is included on the board. A minimum 500 W power supply is advised by the manufacturer to sustain dual-CPU operation. The CMOS battery is removed before shipping due to postal regulations.
