4U rackmount server chassis

The iStarUSA D-400LND-7 is a 4U rackmount server chassis built for EATX, ATX and microATX boards up to 12 x 13 inches. Its aluminium and steel construction houses seven expansion slots and a single external 3.5 inch drive bay. Two front USB 2.0 ports give quick peripheral access.

Cooling layout with four fans

Three 120 mm fans and one 80 mm fan move air through the chassis while a removable filter traps dust. The patented aluminium front panel includes locks for physical security. Power, HDD activity and alarm LEDs sit beside power and alarm reset switches on the front.

Upgrade from shorter rack cases

This chassis replaces 2U or 3U enclosures when longer add-in cards or taller CPU coolers are required. The seven-slot backplane and 12 x 13 inch motherboard clearance accommodate dual-socket boards and multiple GPUs. Buyers needing more than one external 3.5 inch bay or hot-swap bays should look elsewhere.
