Servo driver for Raspberry Pi Pico

This module adds up to 16-channel PWM outputs with 16-bit resolution to any Raspberry Pi Pico series board. It targets makers building robotic arms, hexapod walkers or other multi-servo projects that exceed the Pico’s native PWM count.

On-board regulator and exposed pins

An integrated 5 V regulator delivers up to 3 A from the VIN terminal, enabling battery-powered operation without a separate supply. Unused Pico pins remain accessible for additional sensors or communication modules, and standard servo headers accept common models such as SG90, MG90S and MG996R.

Sixteen channels and 3 A headroom

Sixteen independent channels handle simultaneous servo motion for complex gaits or articulated arms. The 3 A regulator ceiling limits the total servo count under load, so projects demanding many high-torque servos at once will need an external power solution.

商品問答

How often will the 5 V, 3 A regulator need replacement under continuous load?

The onboard 5 V regulator is rated for 3 A continuous output and has no user-serviceable parts; it is designed to last the life of the board under normal operating conditions.

What limits the number of servos I can drive simultaneously on the 16 channels?

The 3 A regulator sets the practical limit; total stall current of all connected servos must stay below 3 A, so high-torque units like the MG996R reduce the usable channel count.

How much heat does the board generate when all 16 channels run all day?

Heat comes mainly from the 5 V regulator dropping the VIN voltage at up to 3 A; with typical hobby servos the board runs warm but stays within safe limits without extra cooling.
