The MAIWO K1696P turns a spare M.2 NVMe SSD into an external drive through a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C connection. It accepts single-sided M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 lengths up to 4TB. The gray enclosure weighs .08 lbs and measures 7.87*3.93*1 inch. No AC adapter is required.

Integrated short cable and tool-free slot

A 10 cm captive cable prevents tangling and keeps workspaces tidy. The inline design lets you insert the SSD directly into the M-key slot without screws or a separate enclosure body. Plug-and-play operation works on Windows, Mac OS and Linux with no driver installation. UASP support is included for reduced protocol overhead.

10 Gbps ceiling for large transfers

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 link tops out at 10 Gbps, so sequential reads and writes from fast NVMe media will saturate the bus. SATA-based M.2 drives with B+M keying are not supported, and the single bay cannot accommodate two drives simultaneously. First-time drives must be initialised, partitioned and formatted in the host OS before use.
