This kit delivers 128 GB of DDR3 1600 registered ECC memory across four 32 GB modules. It is built for Lenovo ThinkStation C30, D30 and S30 workstations that require registered DIMMs. Standard desktop boards cannot use this memory.

Registered ECC constraints

Registered modules add a clock cycle of buffering and must not be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs. The platform must support ECC registered DDR3 at 1.5 V; consumer chipsets and laptop SO-DIMM slots will not accept these 240-pin sticks.

Installation notes

Align the notch on each 240-pin module with the slot key and press until the latches click. Common issues include seating modules in the wrong channel order for the specific ThinkStation model or leaving a latch partially open, which prevents POST.
