This OWC kit provides 256GB of DDR4 ECC Registered RDIMM memory across eight 32GB modules. It is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require error-correcting registered memory. The modules run at 2666MHz with CL19 latency at 1.2V. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory and it must not be mixed with unbuffered modules.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Registered modules place less electrical load on the memory controller, helping stability when all 256GB are populated during long compute or virtualisation workloads. ECC corrects single-bit errors on the fly, reducing the risk of silent data corruption over extended uptime. The 1.2V operation keeps power draw consistent across the full kit. Backward compatibility with 2133MHz and 2400MHz systems allows the modules to down-clock automatically if the platform requires it.
