Operating between 0 °C and 70 °C, the drive draws 0.37 W idle and 2.07 W active. End-to-end datapath protection and wear-leveling firmware maintain consistent throughput during extended writes. The 160 TBW rating reflects the endurance available for typical consumer workloads over the drive’s service life.

Upgrade from PCIe 3.0 x2 or SATA M.2 drives

The x4 controller provides roughly 25 percent higher transfer speeds and IOPS than standard PCIe 3.0 x2 solutions. The jump is worthwhile when moving from a SATA M.2 SSD or an older x2 NVMe drive in a system limited to PCIe Gen3. Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 are supported, with a possible driver requirement for Windows 7.
