The Rosewill RSV-R4000U is a 4U rackmount server chassis built for environments that need many hard drives in a standard rack. It fits ATX, E-ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, SSI CEB and SSI EEB motherboards, so it suits both home-lab builders and small-business server rooms. The 1.0mm SGCC steel frame weighs 12.16kg and measures 430mm wide, 176mm tall and 468mm deep.

Included cooling and front-panel features

Two 120mm PWM fans are pre-installed at the front and two 80mm fans at the rear, giving immediate airflow across the drive bays and expansion area. The front panel adds two USB 3.0 ports for quick external access and a keyed lock that secures the drive-bay door. LEDs show power status, HDD activity and two LAN links without opening the case.

Clearances and compatibility to verify

The chassis accepts graphics cards up to 270mm long and CPU coolers up to 117mm tall when the GPU holder is fitted, or 152mm without it. Power supplies must be PS2 (ATX) form factor no longer than 220mm. Seven full-height expansion slots are available, and the eight internal 3.5-inch bays plus three external 5.25-inch bays set the maximum drive count.
