USB 3.0 5Gbps with UASP for sustained transfers

The USB 3.0 interface delivers up to 5Gbps bandwidth and supports UASP on compatible systems to maintain higher throughput during long copy operations. Power is drawn directly from the host USB port, so most 2.5 inch drives run without an external supply. Some older or high-capacity mechanical drives may need a powered hub if they fail to spin up.

Verify your drive and host port before ordering

This adapter only fits 2.5 inch drives with a standard SATA connector; it does not support M.2 NVMe, M.2 SATA, 3.5 inch desktop drives or slim optical drives. The host requires a USB Type-A port; computers with only USB-C need a separate USB-C to USB-A adapter. It is not intended for use as a permanent system boot drive in all configurations.
