It uses conventional magnetic recording and a SATA 6.0Gb/s interface to deliver 24×7 performance in multi-user RAID environments. The 7200 RPM spindle speed and 256MB cache support fast data access for demanding network workloads.

Sustained 24×7 operation

AgileArray technology combines dual-plane balancing with time-limited error recovery to maintain consistent throughput during continuous RAID rebuilds or heavy multi-user traffic. Rotational vibration sensors further stabilise performance across multiple bays. The drive carries a 550TB per year workload rating and a 2.5M hour MTBF, reflecting its engineering for non-stop enterprise duty cycles.

Thermals and power in normal use

The 26.11mm height, 101.85mm width and 146.99mm length fit standard 3.5-inch drive bays while allowing adequate airflow in dense chassis.
