It fits low-profile and small-form-factor chassis and supplies one internal header for front-bay devices. Each port delivers up to 500 mA from a dedicated power input. Driver support covers Windows 2000 through 7 and Linux with WHQL-certified files.

The card suits users who need extra USB 2.0 connections for keyboards, mice, printers or older external drives in a compact system. It does not suit builds that require the higher bandwidth of USB 3.0 or later standards. Systems without a free PCI Express slot cannot use this adapter.
