The STARTECH ST1000PEXPSE is a PCI Express x1 network card that adds a single RJ45 port with 2.5GBASE-T connectivity and Power over Ethernet Plus sourcing capability. It draws auxiliary power from an internal SATA or SP4 connector to deliver up to 30 W to attached devices. The card supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards for compatible powered devices.

This card suits administrators who need to supply both data and power to a single PoE device such as a wireless access point, IP camera or RFID reader over existing CAT5e or better cabling.
