The Supermicro SYS-6029U-E1CR4T is a 2U rackmount system with two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors running at 2.1 GHz with 16 cores each. It ships with 512 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory across 16 modules. The platform targets virtualization, hyper-converged storage and cloud workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity.

PCIe 3.0 lanes and 12 Gb/s SAS define storage limits

The installed MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides eight ports of SAS 12 Gb/s connectivity with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Twelve front 3.5-inch bays accept SATA or SAS drives; four of those bays can support NVMe SSDs when a compatible add-on card is fitted. Expansion includes two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, four PCIe 3.0 x8 slots full-height and one low-profile PCIe 3.0 x8 slot.

Redundant titanium power

Dual 1000-watt titanium-efficiency power supplies are hot-swappable for continuous uptime. All twelve drive bays support hot-plug replacement without tools.
