The Synology RS1619xs+ is a diskless 1U rackmount NAS built around an Intel Xeon D-1527 quad-core processor running at 2.2 GHz with turbo up to 2.7 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 ECC UDIMM memory, expandable to 64 GB across four slots. The platform targets organisations that need high-throughput file collaboration, virtualization or mail-server workloads in a compact rack footprint.

The chassis provides four Gigabit RJ-45 links, two USB 3.0 ports and four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays that also accept 2.5-inch SATA HDDs, 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and M.2 2280 NVMe or SATA SSDs. Dual built-in M.2 2280 slots enable SSD cache without occupying drive bays, while the PCIe 3.0 slot allows an optional 10GbE or 25GbE NIC for bandwidth-intensive environments. Power draw is 68.68 W during access and 34.78 W in HDD hibernation on 100–240 V AC.

The bundled DiskStation Manager OS delivers SMB, AFP, NFS, FTP, WebDAV, iSCSI, VPN and comprehensive backup, snapshot and virtualization tools. Sequential read performance exceeds 1,523 MB/s and iSCSI random read reaches 162,097 IOPS, supporting heavy multi-user workloads out of the box.
