The Synology RS2423+ arrives as a 12-bay rackmount NAS fully populated with twelve 12TB Plus Series drives for 144TB of raw capacity. Sixteen gigabytes of installed memory and a 1.6TB dual-drive cache adapter are also fitted and tested before shipment.

Rackmount Build and Daily Connectivity

A 2U chassis measuring 88 mm high by 482 mm wide by 552 mm deep slides into standard racks and weighs 11.5 kg without disks. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports sit on the front for quick peripheral access while the rear provides two 1GbE RJ-45 ports with link aggregation and failover plus a single 10GbE RJ-45 uplink.

Performance Boundaries of the Platform
