The Synology RS2423+ arrives fully assembled with twelve 8 TB Plus Series drives providing 96 TB of raw capacity and 16 GB of installed memory. An AMD Ryzen processor delivers the compute headroom for file sharing, virtualization and backup workloads in small-to-medium businesses. Two 1 GbE ports and one 10 GbE port handle network connectivity with link aggregation and failover support.

Rack space and power check

Confirm a 2 U rack opening measuring at least 88 mm high by 482 mm wide by 552 mm deep and verify the rack can accommodate an 11.5 kg unit. The power supply accepts 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, so ensure the PDU or outlet matches that range. Operating temperature must stay between 0 °C and 35 °C with humidity from 5 % to 95 % relative humidity. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for external devices or license dongles.

Bundled drives and memory impact

Twelve factory-installed 8 TB Plus Series drives eliminate drive sourcing, compatibility testing and initial RAID build time.
