Workstation DDR5 ECC memory

This 128 GB kit contains four 32 GB registered DDR5 modules built for Intel W790 workstation motherboards. Each stick uses Hynix ICs on a ten-layer PCB and includes on-board ECC and a thermal sensor for error correction and temperature monitoring. The kit is validated for the Asus Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE and is not compatible with standard desktop or laptop platforms.

Installation notes

The modules use the standard 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM form factor and fit W790 boards that support registered memory. Because the kit is designed exclusively for workstation chipsets, it will not function in consumer desktop sockets or laptop SO-DIMM slots. Builders who need memory for a regular PC or a non-W790 server should choose a different product.

DDR5 6000 limits

The kit runs at 6000 MT/s with CL40 timings (36-38-38-96) at 1.4 V and supports Intel XMP profiles on W790 platforms. Registered ECC operation adds latency compared with unbuffered modules, and the 85 °C maximum operating temperature defines the thermal envelope. Systems requiring higher frequencies, lower latencies or non-ECC consumer memory cannot use this kit.
