This 64 GB kit uses four 16 GB DDR5 registered DIMMs built with Hynix ICs on a 10-layer PCB. Each module runs at 6800 MT/s with CL34-46-46-92 timings at 1.40 V. On-die ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity for Threadripper PRO 7000 series workstations. The kit targets professionals who need stability under sustained loads.
The bundled AMD EXPO profile stores the 6800 MT/s frequency and tight timings in the module SPD. Selecting it in BIOS applies the rated speed, voltage and latency without manual tuning. This saves configuration time and reduces the risk of unstable manual settings. Builders who prefer custom voltages or lower frequencies can still adjust values manually.
Each DIMM presents two independent 40-bit sub-channels, doubling burst throughput compared to DDR4. The on-board PMIC regulates power locally for cleaner signalling at 6800 MT/s. Registered buffering adds one clock cycle of command latency, a fixed trait of RDIMM topology. Systems without TRX50 chipset support cannot use these modules.
