The WD Red Plus WD140EFGX is a 14TB 3.5-inch hard drive built for small- to medium-business NAS enclosures. It uses conventional magnetic recording and spins at 7200 RPM with a 512MB cache to sustain heavy multi-user workloads. The drive is rated for up to 180 TB per year and supports systems with up to eight bays.

SATA 6.0Gb/s interface fits standard NAS bays

The drive connects through a SATA 6.0Gb/s port and conforms to the 3.5-inch form factor measuring 147.00mm long, 101.60mm wide and 26.10mm high. It requires a NAS chassis with an available 3.5-inch bay and a SATA data plus power cable. NASware 3.0 firmware handles RAID array rebuilding and improves compatibility with common NAS operating systems.

24x7 operation with managed thermals and power
