The WD BLACK SN850 is a consumer-grade M.2 2280 solid-state drive built for high-performance PCs and laptops. It uses PCIe 4.0 x4 and 3D NAND to deliver responsive storage for gaming and demanding workloads. Not intended for NAS or server environments.

The 300TB TBW rating and 1.75M hour MTTF provide headroom for heavy daily use. Sustained write workloads will saturate the rated write bandwidth before exhausting endurance.

PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 integration

The single-sided 2.38mm height and 22.00mm width fit standard M.2 slots without blocking adjacent components. A motherboard with a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot is required to achieve the quoted speeds.
