2.5-inch 480 GB internal SSD with SATA III, 256-bit AES hardware encryption and up to 520 MB/s read speed
Options 480GB
The Kingston UV500 is a 2.5-inch internal solid-state drive built for consumer desktops and notebooks that still rely on the SATA interface. It replaces a mechanical hard drive to deliver faster boot, application load and file transfer performance.
A Marvell 88SS1074 controller manages 3D TLC NAND and provides full-drive 256-bit AES hardware encryption compliant with TCG Opal 2.0. The drive reaches sequential reads up to 520 MBps and writes up to 500 MBps with 79,000 random read IOPS and 35,000 random write IOPS.
The drive slots into any 2.5-inch bay with a standard SATA data and power connection, requiring no extra cables or brackets. Low idle power of 0.195 W and an operating range of 0 °C to 70 °C keep thermal demands modest for compact chassis.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The 520 MBps read speed lets the operating system and applications load much faster than a mechanical hard drive, cutting boot time and making file transfers snappy.
SATA III caps the drive at 6 Gbps, so the 520 MBps read and 500 MBps write figures are the practical ceiling you will see in any system.
The drive uses the standard 2.5 inch form factor, so it fits any 2.5 inch SATA bay or caddy in laptops and desktops.
