The Dell PowerEdge R630 is a 1U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2637 V3 quad-core processor running at 3.5GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory installed across 24 DIMM slots and includes two 300GB 15K SAS drives managed by a PERC H330 RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750W redundant power supplies provide power redundancy for continuous operation.

Check CPU, memory and drive bay compatibility

Verify that your rack provides a 1U slot and can accommodate the unit's depth of 26.8 inches and width of 17.44 inches. The motherboard supports a second processor up to a maximum of two CPUs using the Intel C610 chipset. Memory expansion uses DDR4 modules only, with 24 slots total and a per-processor limit of 12 slots. The chassis holds up to eight 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS or SATA drives, and the H330 controller handles 12Gbps SAS connectivity.

Redundant power and remote management included

Two 750W hot-swap power supplies deliver N+1 redundancy without extra cabling. The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller enables out-of-band remote management, firmware updates and hardware monitoring from any browser. A dedicated PERC slot leaves up to three PCIe 3.0 slots free for additional network or storage cards. No operating system is included, so you must supply your own hypervisor or OS licences.
