The Dell Precision T7910 is a tower-form workstation built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 eight-core processor running at 2.1 GHz with hyperthreading. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a new 500 GB SATA solid-state drive. Graphics are handled by an Nvidia NVS 310 card with 512 MB memory and dual DisplayPort outputs. Suited for CPU-threaded workloads on a budget

This system suits users who need many logical threads for rendering, simulation or virtualization but do not require modern GPU acceleration. The NVS 310 supports dual displays for office or monitoring tasks yet lacks the compute power for 3D design, video encoding or machine-learning workloads. Buyers who need higher single-thread speed, larger GPU memory or an operating system pre-loaded should look elsewhere.

Single-socket LGA 2011-3 limits memory ceiling

The motherboard uses the Intel C612 chipset with an LGA 2011-3 socket populated by one Xeon E5-2620 v4. With a single processor installed, only eight of the sixteen DIMM slots are active and quad-channel memory up to 2400 MHz is limited to that half of the board. Adding a second compatible Xeon would unlock the remaining slots and the full 1 TB capacity, but the chassis and power supply already support that upgrade path.
