Compact touchscreen for Pico projects

The LORDWORLD 2.8inch module adds a 320×240 IPS panel with 262K colours to Raspberry Pi Pico boards. A dedicated XPT2046 controller drives the resistive touch layer, while the ST7789 handles display duties over a single SPI bus. MicroPython and C/C++ examples are included to accelerate development.

320×240 pixels with onboard image storage

The screen resolves 320 by 240 pixels and renders 262K colours for clear graphics and text. A MicroSD card slot lets you store bitmaps locally and show them without streaming from the host, which is handy for splash screens or simple GUIs. Complex animations or video playback will exceed the SPI throughput and the controller’s frame-buffer limits.

Low-power backlight and quiet operation

The backlight is software-controlled so you can dim or disable it to save current when the project idles. No fan or active cooling is present, so the board runs silently. Power draw stays modest because the SPI interface and the two driver chips are the only active components during normal use.

Will the 2.8inch SPI display share the bus cleanly with other sensors I keep on my Raspberry Pi Pico?

The module uses the SPI bus with the ST7789 driver and XPT2046 touch controller, so it can share the bus with other SPI devices as long as each has its own chip-select line.

How can I verify the 320×240 IPS panel and XPT2046 touch are working after wiring it up?

Run the supplied Raspberry Pi Pico C/C++ or MicroPython example; the screen should show a 262K-colour test pattern and the touch coordinates should print to the console when pressed.

Does the box include a MicroSD card for the onboard slot or must I buy one separately?

The module has a MicroSD card slot for storing and displaying images, but no card is included — you need to supply your own.
