The Minuteman EC1500RTXL2UNC is a 1500VA 1350W online UPS that delivers continuous true sine-wave output at 120V. It suits rack or tower installations where servers, network gear or sensitive electronics require zero transfer time and tight voltage regulation. The unit accepts a wide 0-160VAC input range and auto-senses 50 or 60Hz sources. Six NEMA 5-15R outlets provide battery-backed and surge-protected power.

Upgrade from line-interactive models

Moving from a line-interactive UPS to this online topology removes the switchover delay that can reboot sensitive loads during brownouts or frequency excursions. The jump is worth it when equipment cannot tolerate any break in waveform quality or when the input supply regularly drifts outside tight voltage limits. Internal batteries are user-replaceable using the BM0070 pack, extending service life without replacing the whole chassis.

Practical limits of the NEMA 5-15P input

The 1500VA rating is bound by the NEMA 5-15P plug, so the UPS cannot draw more than the 15A branch circuit allows. At full 1350W load the battery runtime is 5 minutes; at half load it reaches 15 minutes. Operating temperature must stay between 0 and 40°C with 10 to 90 percent non-condensing humidity. The unit carries cTUVus, FCC Class A, CE, Energy Star 2.0 and RoHS2 approvals.
