The Minuteman Encompass EC3000RT2UNC is a 3000VA, 2700W online double-conversion UPS in a 2U rack/tower chassis. It delivers 120VAC output with user-selectable 110VAC or 127VAC settings and zero transfer time to battery. Six controllable NEMA 5-15/20R outlets and one always-on L5-30R receptacle support critical servers, network gear, and voltage-sensitive equipment.

Replaces standby or line-interactive units

This unit upgrades installations that previously used standby or line-interactive UPS models lacking zero transfer time. The jump is worth it when connected loads cannot tolerate any break during power transitions or require precise frequency regulation of +/-0.2Hz. It accepts a wide 0-160VAC input range and auto-senses 50/60Hz, reducing unnecessary battery drain in unstable environments.

Sustained load behavior

At full 2700W load the sealed lead-acid battery provides 3 minutes of runtime; at half load it extends to 10 minutes. Full recharge to 90% capacity takes 8 hours after total discharge. The 254-joule surge rating handles transient spikes, while DB-9, USB, and RJ-45 ports enable continuous monitoring during extended outages. Operating temperature spans 0 to 40°C with 10-90% non-condensing humidity.
