Cisco UCS Server Memory Kit

This 128GB kit contains two 64GB DDR4 LRDIMM modules built for Cisco UCS B260 M4 and B460 M4 servers. Each module runs at 2400 MT/s with CL17 latency and operates at 1.2V. The load-reduced design reduces electrical load on the memory controller to support high-density configurations.

Sustained Load Behaviour

ECC load-reduced memory maintains data integrity during continuous server workloads by correcting single-bit errors on the fly. The 4Rx4 organisation allows the memory controller to address more ranks per channel without exceeding electrical limits. Backward compatibility with 2133 MT/s lets the kit run reliably if the platform downclocks under thermal pressure.

DDR4 LRDIMM Constraints

The DDR4 LRDIMM standard requires a compatible server chipset that supports load-reduced buffering; standard desktop or workstation boards will not recognise these modules. Mixing LRDIMMs with registered or unbuffered DIMMs in the same system is not supported. The 288-pin form factor fits only DDR4 slots wired for ECC load-reduced operation.
