This OWC kit provides 256GB of DDR4 memory across eight 32GB modules. It is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered ECC RDIMMs. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory and it must not be mixed with unbuffered modules.

Registered ECC with 2Rx4 Organisation

The decisive specification is the registered ECC design with a 2Rx4 rank configuration. This architecture allows the memory controller to address higher capacities per channel while correcting single-bit errors.
