Server-grade ECC RDIMM kit

This OWC kit provides 64 GB of DDR4 memory across four 16 GB registered DIMMs. It targets administrators upgrading workstations, servers or NAS appliances that require error-correcting, registered modules. Standard desktop boards cannot use this memory and it must not be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs.

DDR4 2400 registered limits

The modules run at 2400 MT/s with CL17 latency and 1.2 V under JEDEC PC4-19200 specifications. Registered signalling adds a clock cycle, so throughput is bounded by the 2400 standard and the dual-rank 2Rx4 organisation. Systems that demand higher frequencies or unbuffered operation will not benefit from this kit.

Plain 288-pin modules without spreaders

Each DIMM uses a bare green PCB with 288 gold contacts and no heat spreader, keeping height to the JEDEC minimum for dense server chassis. The registered buffer and ECC logic sit on the module, so the memory controller handles parity without extra cabling. Installers simply seat the sticks in matched channels per the platform manual.
