Server DDR4 ECC RDIMM

This OWC kit delivers 64GB of DDR4 2400 memory in two 32GB registered DIMMs. It is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require ECC error correction. Standard desktop boards cannot use registered modules, so this kit will not work in consumer PCs.

Registered DDR4 limits

Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering that stabilises heavy memory loads on multi-socket platforms. The same buffering prevents the modules from functioning in unbuffered desktop chipsets. Mixing registered and unbuffered memory is not supported and will prevent boot.

Build and daily use

The modules use a 288-pin DDR4 form factor without heat spreaders, keeping height low for dense server chassis. JEDEC and RoHS compliance ensures compatibility with OEM-qualified platforms. Dual-rank 2Rx4 organisation fits standard server memory population rules.
