Twelve 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA bays provide raw capacity up to 192 TB. Synology only guarantees full functionality, reliability and performance with drives listed on its compatibility list. Using non-validated drives may limit features or stability. The single PCIe 3.0 x4 slot accepts network or M.2 SSD adapter cards for cache.
