Registered ECC with 1Rx4 organisation

Each 240-pin DIMM runs at PC3-12800 speed with CL11 latency at 1.5 V and implements 1Rx4 registered ECC. The registered buffer and error-correcting code are mandatory for the listed Supermicro platforms; unbuffered or non-ECC memory will not function in these boards.

Straightforward DIMM installation

Modules insert vertically into the 240-pin slots without tools or heat spreaders to obstruct adjacent components. The only common issue is mixing registered ECC with unbuffered DIMMs or populating slots in an order the motherboard manual does not support, which prevents the system from posting.
