Server DDR3L ECC kit

This 16 GB kit contains four 4 GB unbuffered ECC UDIMMs built for DDR3 and DDR3L servers and workstations. The modules run at 1333 MHz with CL9 latency and operate at 1.35 V, with support for 1.5 V where required. They are not compatible with desktop or laptop computers.

Capacity and headroom

The quad-channel kit provides 16 GB total capacity for multi-threaded server workloads such as virtualization, database caching and file serving. Dual-rank 2Rx8 organization helps fill memory channels efficiently, though the 1333 MHz speed limits bandwidth compared to faster DDR3L grades. Workloads needing more than 16 GB or higher throughput will exceed this kit.

DDR3L interface limits

The DDR3L 240-pin interface tops out at 1333 MHz (PC3L-10600) on this kit, capping theoretical bandwidth below later DDR3L speeds. ECC error correction adds reliability for mission-critical data but does not increase raw throughput. Systems must support unbuffered ECC UDIMMs at 1.35 V or 1.5 V; registered or non-ECC platforms will not accept these modules.
