This ten-metre multimode fibre patch cord uses an OM3 10-gigabit core with LC and SC connectors. The aqua-blue 3.0 mm PVC jacket protects ceramic ferrules that operate at an 850 nm wavelength. Typical insertion loss is .2 dB and maximum insertion loss is .3 dB while return loss exceeds 38 dB. The cable is rated for 1000 mating cycles and an operating range of -20 °C to +60 °C.

The duplex LC-SC construction fits switches, servers and data-centre patch panels that require multimode connectivity at 1G, 10G or 40G speeds. Installers needing single-mode fibre, longer distances beyond OM3 reach, or different connector polishes should select another cable type. The 330 mm minimum bend radius also means very tight routing paths are unsuitable.
