This Orico enclosure turns a single M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD into an external drive with a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C connection. It supports M‑Key, B‑Key and B+M‑Key modules in the 2280 form factor. The theoretical maximum throughput is 1000MB/s for NVMe drives and 480MB/s for SATA drives. An all‑aluminium body with CNC‑cut fins and a wrap‑around cooling vest dissipates heat during sustained transfers.

Check Drive Protocol And Host Port

Verify that your M.2 SSD uses the NVMe or SATA protocol and matches the 2280 length before ordering. The host device must provide a USB‑C port capable of 10Gbps operation to reach the advertised NVMe speeds; a slower port will limit performance. The enclosure draws power from the USB bus, so no external adapter is required.

Aluminium Build With Dual‑Head Cable

The grey aluminium shell acts as a heatsink, and the included cooling vest makes full contact with the drive for silent, fan‑less operation. A single 2‑in‑1 cable supplies both USB‑C‑to‑A and USB‑C‑to‑C plugs, each rated for 10Gbps, letting you connect to legacy Type‑A ports or modern Type‑C ports without extra adapters.
