DDR4 2666MHz ECC SODIMM kit

This 16GB kit contains two 8GB DDR4 2666MHz CL19 ECC unbuffered SODIMM modules. It is built for Synology DiskStation DS723+ and DS923+ NAS systems that require error-correcting memory. The 260-pin form factor fits compatible micro servers, NAS appliances and POS equipment. It is not for laptops or desktops that accept only non-ECC SODIMMs.

Sustained-load behaviour

JEDEC-standard timings and 1.2V operation keep latency stable during extended file transfers or multi-user database workloads. ECC corrects single-bit errors on the fly so data integrity holds across long uptime periods. Backward compatibility with 2400MHz and 2133MHz lets the kit downclock automatically if the platform demands it. Systems needing registered DIMMs or higher frequencies cannot use this kit.

Thermals noise and power

Low-voltage DDR4 draws minimal power and produces little heat without a heat spreader. Passive cooling inside a NAS chassis is sufficient for normal operation. Silent solid-state design adds no acoustic noise to the environment. Builders who need active cooling or higher voltage headroom should look elsewhere.
