The SanDisk Optimus 5100 is a 2TB internal solid state drive built on the M.2 2280 form factor. It uses a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface with the NVMe protocol. The drive employs QLC 3D CBA NAND memory components. It is designed for desktop and laptop users who need high-capacity storage for operating systems, applications and large media libraries.

Sustained write behaviour on QLC 3D CBA NAND

The drive delivers a maximum sequential write speed of up to 6700 MBps and a 4KB random write rating of up to 1,300,000 IOPS. Under heavy continuous workloads the QLC architecture writes directly to the flash after any SLC cache is filled.
