Capacity and form factor

The Solidigm D5-P5430 is a 15.36TB enterprise SSD built in a 2.5 inch U.2 15mm form factor. It connects through a PCI Express NVMe 4.0 x4 interface and uses 192L QLC 3D NAND. The drive is designed for read intensive data centre workloads such as content delivery, analytics and warm storage tiers.

Thermals noise and power

Operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C with an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. The U.2 form factor relies on server backplane airflow and conduction cooling rather than an onboard fan, so acoustic output is negligible.
