30.72 TB enterprise U.2 drive

The Solidigm D5-P5430 is a 30.72 TB enterprise SSD built for read-intensive data-centre workloads. Its U.2 15 mm form factor fits standard 2.5-inch hot-swap bays in servers and storage arrays. The drive uses 192-layer QLC 3D NAND and a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface to deliver high capacity in a single slot. It targets environments that prioritise density and sequential throughput over write endurance.

Capacity and headroom for read-heavy loads

Sequential reads reach 7000 MBps while sequential writes peak at 3000 MBps, so large ingest and streaming workloads run smoothly. Random read performance hits 971000 IOPS at queue depth 256, giving ample headroom for parallel access patterns. Random writes are rated at 86000 IOPS, and the 0.57 DWPD endurance rating means sustained heavy writing will exhaust the 31.93 PBW budget faster than read-dominated use cases.

PCIe 4.0 x4 interface decides compatibility
