The Solidigm D7-PS1030 is a 3.2TB enterprise solid-state drive built in the E3.S 7.5mm form factor. It connects through a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 interface and uses 176L TLC 3D NAND. The drive is designed for data-centre and server deployments that require high-density storage in a compact 7.5mm height.

Suitable workloads and limits

This drive suits read-intensive and mixed workloads such as content delivery, virtualisation and database caching where sustained sequential throughput and high random-read IOPS matter. Buyers who need higher write endurance or larger capacities for write-heavy logging or OLTP should look at other models. The 5W idle and 19W active power figures fit typical server thermal budgets, but the 77 °C maximum operating temperature requires adequate airflow in dense chassis.
