The Solidigm D7-PS1030 is a 1.6TB enterprise solid state drive built for data-centre servers. It uses an E3.S 7.5mm form factor and a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 interface with 176L TLC 3D NAND. Sequential reads reach up to 14500 MBps and writes up to 4100 MBps.

This drive targets storage arrays and compute nodes that demand sustained random performance of 2350000 read IOPS and 350000 write IOPS. It carries a 3 DWPD endurance rating and Opal security. Builders using standard desktop motherboards or laptop slots cannot install the E3.S form factor.

PCIe 5.0 x4 interface decides compatibility

The controller requires a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 backplane or riser to deliver the rated throughput. Systems limited to PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 will restrict bandwidth. Verify the server chassis accepts E3.S 7.5mm drives before purchase.
