Triple 2.5" drive bay adapter

The ICY DOCK MB993SK-B fits three 2.5" SATA or SAS drives into one external 3.5" front bay. It targets builders who need high storage density in compact industrial, medical or embedded systems. The full-metal chassis meets flammability requirements for rugged environments. Each drive tray slides in and out for quick swaps.

SATA 6 Gbps interface ceiling

Three SATA 7-pin host ports connect the drives to the system at up to 6 Gbps per port. Actual throughput depends on the installed drive and the host controller. SAS drives require a SAS host and operate on a single channel. The enclosure is backward compatible with 3 Gbps SATA drives and hosts.

Verify bay depth and power connector

Confirm the chassis provides a standard 3.5" front device bay with enough depth for the full-metal cage. The unit draws power through a single floppy 4-pin connector, so a matching lead from the PSU is required. Drives must be 7 mm high or thinner; taller 2.5" drives will not fit.
