The Solidigm D7-PS1010 is a 15.36TB enterprise SSD built in the U.2 15mm form factor for data-centre servers. It targets organisations that need high-capacity flash storage for read-intensive workloads such as content delivery, analytics or warm-tier archiving. Buyers who require a 2.5-inch 7mm drive or a consumer M.2 module cannot use this part.

Interface and throughput

The drive connects through a PCI-Express 5.0 x4 link and delivers up to 14500 MBps sequential read and 9300 MBps sequential write. Random performance reaches 2750000 IOPS read and 380000 IOPS write at 4K block size. This bandwidth profile matches platforms that can saturate a Gen 5.0 lane; systems limited to earlier PCIe generations will not realise the rated throughput.
